When can I run my first Hotplate?
We are currently building our foodie community. To ensure your flash sales drive real traffic, Hotplate drops are gated. We are monitoring growth and will turn on the function as soon as the audience is large enough to make it worth your investment.
How long does it take to publish a menu?
For most vendors, under 10 minutes. You upload a photo (even a paper menu or POS screenshot), the AI extracts the structure, you review and publish.
What does a Hotplate credit cover?
One published flash sale. You can cancel before publish without burning a credit. After publish, the credit is consumed regardless of how many claims you get.
Can multiple team members use it?
Yes. Invite owners, managers and staff. Roles gate who can publish a menu, approve a Hotplate, or reply to reviews. Every accepted invite earns the restaurant one credit.
Do you work with food trucks?
Trucks are first-class citizens. You get a movable map marker, live status (Serving / Closed / On the way) and the same menu tools. Hotplate drops are coming soon with the same playbook. Start at /for-restaurants/food-trucks.
Who can join OmahaFoodie?
We exclusively support locally owned and operated restaurants and food trucks. If you are a national chain, you cannot join the platform. We are here to keep local dollars in local kitchens.
Is there a cover charge or commission on orders?
No. Foodies don't order through us — they walk in. Today the vendor portal is free to join and list. When Hotplate flash sales launch, they will use simple pay-as-you-go credits only when you publish a drop.
